Do you need a rental car or a car subscription?
If you need a rental car for a short period and want to drive lots of kilometres, The Hire Guys is the right place for you. They offer unlimited mileage. This is only possible because the cars are older and have already been written off.

Please note the following points about The Hire Guys:
1. The car is registered in the canton of Glarus
This entails two disadvantages: Firstly, you cannot apply for a resident parking permit in your own canton. Secondly, you must always show all documents at border checks since you are not registered on the ID. For a rental of a few weeks this is no problem, but for several months or years it can become inconvenient.
How is it at Carvolution?
We register the car in your canton of residence. In some cantons, you can even keep your own licence plates. Resident parking permits or driving abroad are no problem.
2. The cars do not have comprehensive insurance
The Hire Guys advertises with low prices. However, in the event of an accident, this comes at a cost: for liability damages you have to pay a deductible of CHF 3’000 per claim yourself. What about comprehensive damage? The Hire Guys sells their "car subscription" cars without comprehensive insurance, which can get very expensive. We recommend adding the optional comprehensive insurance if you decide to rent a car from The Hire Guys – otherwise, it can quickly become a cost trap.
How is it at Carvolution?
For liability damages, your deductible is CHF 0, and comprehensive insurance is naturally included in the car subscription. You can choose your deductible between CHF 250, CHF 500, and CHF 1’000. For even more extensive coverage, you can also insure parking damage or add legal protection insurance.
3. Cool is not the same as professional
The Hire Guys is a cool car rental company with a great appearance. But the devil is in the details: a look at their terms and conditions shows that many things are not yet regulated. Neither the insurance policy nor the return conditions are available.
