For the first time, SEF honored the female entrepreneur as well as the young entrepreneur of the year with the SEF.WomenAward. In addition, an honorary prize was also awarded for the achievement of an outstanding woman in Swiss business. Great is the joy that Léa Miggiano, Co-Founder and CMO of Carvolution, became Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2021 three years after founding the start-up.
The nominees
This year, the Swiss Economic Forum took place in Interlaken. In addition to impressive personalities as keynote speakers, the Swiss Economic Award and the SEF.WomanAward were presented. In Switzerland, more and more women are taking on leadership positions, yet there are still not enough of them. This award is therefore a good opportunity to honor this work, to make diversity visible and to further promote it. In addition to Léa Miggiano, Nathalie Brandenberg and Alisée de Tonnac were nominated as Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Nathalie Brandenberg is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of SUN bioscience. The company is active in the industrial production of stem cell organoids for precision medicine. Alisée de Tonnac is Co-Founder and CEO of Seedstars. This is a Swiss-based group with a mission to positively impact the lives of people in emerging markets through technology and entrepreneurship.
Léa Miggiano prevails with car subscription
One reason for this sensational result is certainly that Miggiano is partly responsible for making the car subscription increasingly well-known and popular in Switzerland. She works hard every day to ensure that Carvolution customers enjoy the best service for their car subscription. The young start-up is growing tremendously fast, now counting 66 employees. Miggiano is clearly delighted with her award, but wants to make sure that the award goes to the whole team: "It is a tremendous honor to receive this award. But at the same time, I want to emphasize that I couldn't have done it without my team. The whole Carvolution team does incredible work to make sure all our customers are satisfied every day."
Since Carvolution was founded in 2018, there are now over a thousand cars on Swiss roads. Interest in the car subscription is growing every day and the young start-up ensures that all customers are always satisfied. Of course, Léa Miggiano is still on the fast track and gives her best day after day with her team.
